Mike Spann was America's first combat casualty in the War on Terror. A native Alabamian and former Marine Officer, he was killed on November 25, 2001 during a riot in a fortress in the Afghan city of Mazar-e Sharif where he was interviewing captured soldiers allied with the Taliban militia.

Event Details

November 25, 2011 - the day after Thanksgiving.   A fitting day to remember Mike and show our thanks to his family on the 10th anniversary of his sacrifice for our nation as  our first combat casualty in our war on terror.

Mike left behind three children. We are asking for him to be remembered by pledges for his children's education fund for every jump made in his honor.
